I am pleased to welcome you to New Cataloger Camp Spring 2026. This 5-month experience from February through June 2026 is designed to help beginning and “accidental” catalogers become more familiar with foundational concepts, standards, and rules—especially as they are used in real life.

Let’s go over some logistics and actions. Please note that some course components have changed since the last time this cohort was offered.

Zoom Registration

This experience consists of two monthly meetings from February through June 2026. All meetings will be held online using Zoom.
ACTION: Use the two registration links below to add the Zoom meetings to your calendar:

Learning Group Meetings. First Wednesday of the month, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm.
Peer Discussion Meetings. Third Wednesday of the month, 9:00 - 10:00 am.

Course Materials

All of the course materials are available in our Google Folder. I recommend bookmarking it. You do not need to log in to access the folder.
Please don’t share the folder or any course materials outside of our group without permission.

Preparation

To prepare for the learning group meetings, check the Course Outline & Syllabus for recommended videos, online readings, and a summary of the monthly topic. Watch/read what interests you, and don’t worry if you can’t get to everything.
The peer group discussions are optional opportunities for sharing your real-world cataloging questions and problems. No preparation is necessary, but come ready to discuss.
