I am pleased to welcome you to New Cataloger Camp Spring 2026. This 5-month experience
from February through June 2026 is designed to help beginning and “accidental” catalogers
become more familiar with foundational concepts, standards, and rules—especially as they
are used in real life.
Let’s go over some logistics and actions. Please note that some course components have
changed since the last time this cohort was offered.

To prepare for the learning group meetings, check the Course Outline &

for recommended videos, online readings, and a summary of the monthly topic. Watch/read
what interests you, and don’t worry if you can’t get to everything.

The peer group discussions are optional opportunities for sharing your real-world
cataloging questions and problems. No preparation is necessary, but come ready to
discuss.
